What we collect
Your first name, last name, email address, and whether you are a home owner, a landlord, a professional or an institution, if you give them to us through the waitlist form. That is the only personal data this site asks for. We do not ask for your address or anything about your property. We also note the date you signed up and which wording of the form you agreed to.
A check that you are a person. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to keep automated sign-ups out. It looks at your browser when you submit, sets no cookies and is not used for advertising. To stop one connection flooding the list, we keep a scrambled, one-way code made from your internet address for an hour after you sign up, then delete it. We never store the address itself.
Anonymous page statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not follow you to other websites. We cannot identify you from it.
Why, and on what basis
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| To email you once, when Bafolio opens | Your consent, given when you submit the form |
| To know who is waiting, and whether Bafolio is for home owners, landlords, professionals or institutions first | Your consent, given when you submit the form |
| To keep automated and repeated sign-ups off the list | Our legitimate interest in a waitlist of real people, using a check that keeps nothing about you beyond an hour |
| To count visits so we know whether the site works | Our legitimate interest in running a website, using data that identifies nobody |
Who else sees it
- Cloudflare hosts this site and the waitlist, provides the analytics, and runs the Turnstile check.
- Resend delivers the email we send you.
Both are bound by contract to use the data only as we instruct. We do not sell it, rent it, or use it for advertising, and we do not pass your address to anyone else.
How long we keep it
Your details stay on the waitlist until you ask us to remove them, or until twelve months after Bafolio opens, whichever comes first. After that they are deleted. A deleted entry can be recovered from Cloudflare's own backups for up to 30 days, and is gone after that.
Cookies
This site sets none. There is no banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent at any time, free, by emailing enquiries@bafolio.com. We will reply within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. You do not have to come to us first.
Changes
If we change this notice we will publish the new version here with a new date.
